I am a custom cake artist located in Toronto, Canada who specializes in painted cakes, handmade sugar flowers and sculpted cakes. My love of baking began in high school but I have always had a passion for the arts.
After high school, I took a course at Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts. There I learned how to combine my love of baking with my creative artistic abilities. After completing the course with great distinction, I began working at Bonnie Gordon College alongside artists I had admired for years.
I have worked as a cake designer in multiple bakeries in Toronto, such as Prairie Girl Bakery and The Rolling Pin but chose to run my own custom cake business so I could freely explore my creativity.
I am a multi-award winning cake artist, taking home 1st place in the first cake competition I entered and 2nd place in the second cake competition I entered.
If you love my work (thank you!) and would like to learn some of my tips and tricks, you can watch my video tutorials on the Youtube channel How to Cake it with Yolanda Gampp.
You can find my work in magazines, such as WedLuxe, American Cake Decorating and Cake Decorating Heaven. This coming December you will also be able to see me compete on The Food Network show The Big Bake!
